My Review of Echo Burning by Lee Child Click Play to listen or scroll down to read Hello everyone, I just finished the novel Echo Burning by Lee Child. It’s part of his Jack Reacher thriller series. This is the first book I’ve finished for a reading challenge I started last week. The goal is to read 50 pages a day. If you’re interested you can follow the daily posts on my blog, link in the description. I’m sure I won’t reach my target everyday, but I aim to try. I’ll also be reviewing each book as I Read more…
The Great Reading Challenge Day 1 July 1st
Hey guys, I’ve noticed something interesting since I started writing full time, I don’t read as much as I used to. Before I became a professional writer, I would read a couple books a week easy. Lately I’ve been down to a couple books a month. I just find my brain gets fried from working on my own stories and I’d rather watch YouTube videos at night. But that’s not so good for a writer as I need to keep studying to improve my craft and refill the inspiration bin. So, to combat my natural tendencies, I’ve started a reading Read more…
Friday Book Recommendation 9
Hello everyone, Today I want to tell you about a Star Wars book I really enjoyed. It’s called Kenobi and it covers Obi-Wan’s early days on Tatooine as he trains himself basically how not to be a hero anymore. Keeping a low profile doesn’t come easy for him and he ends up drawing a lot more attention the the wants. I won’t go into too much detail but let’s just say there’s plenty of action and excitement. This was easily one of my favorite Star Wars books and if you haven’t read it I highly recommend you do. You Read more…

Friday Book Recommendation 7
Hello everyone, Since we’ve been talking all about fiction here, I thought I change it up and discuss a nonfiction book I really enjoyed. It’s called Heart of the Sea and it’s the true story Moby Dick was based on. They also made a movie staring Chris Helmsworth based on it. That was quite good as well. I read Heart of the Sea a little while ago. It talks about more than the ship sinking after the whale rams it. It covers everything the survivors went through trying to get to safety and how it affected their lives afterward. Read more…

Friday Book Recommendation 4
Hello everyone and welcome to the Friday Book Recommendation, Today I thought I’d move out of the Pathfinder universe and take a look at something from someone else. In fact we’re going halfway around the world to discuss a series written by a japanese author. It’s called the Irregular at the Magic High School and is one of my favorite light novel series. It follows the adventures of a brother and sister who are both powerful wizards. They attend the same magic high school, think high tech Harry Potter, and get into all sorts of adventures. The writing style Read more…
Reactivating the Blog and my First Book Recommendation
Before I begin my first book recommendation, I want to take a moment to tell you my hopes for this blog going forward. I want this to be a place where we can have conversations about the things we all love, stories of all kinds. One thing you won’t see is me shitting on other authors’ work. If I don’t like something I just won’t talk about it. I want to keep this a positive place. The universe knows there’s enough ugliness in the world right now. We don’t need more here. The plan is to post twice a week, Read more…
