The Day – 8-15-20
So yesterday wasn’t a great day. I don’t know if I ate something bad or what, but I was sick all morning. I also got my first ever customer service phone call from one of my readers. It was so unexpected I didn’t know at first what he was talking about. Once he explained, I got him sorted out. At least I assume I did since he hasn’t called back. After a rather miserable morning, I fixed lunch and watched a movie called Savage Dog. More on that in the review below.
After the movie, I made it to my writing desk about 2:00 and managed a solid 6 pages.
A couple quick updates. First, I’m working my way through edits for the fifth book in the Portal Wars Saga. I hope to have that done in a couple days. Second, audio production begins in two weeks on The Hidden Tower. I’m looking forward to getting the audio books up for you all to enjoy.
Savage Dog Review
So this is another action movie, only not one from the eighties or nineties like I’ve been watching. I didn’t actually notice what year it came out. Anyway, it’s set in the fifties in China and stars Scott Atkins as an IRA fighter on the run. He starts out as a prisoner fighting for the amusement and profit of his captors. Eventually they set him free, but comes back with because he likes to fight and it pays well. Eventually the usual action movie stuff happens, betrayal, attempted and failed murder, and revenge. It kind of reminded me of a Rambo movie only with better martial arts. I won’t give away anymore of the plot, but if you like action movies with a dose of revenge, this is a good one. It’s a recommend from me. You can watch it on Netflix.
Finally we end with a preorder update. The Portal Thieves is fly up. We’re now a 314. Thanks everyone for your support.
Talk to you tomorrow
