The Day – 8-30-20

We had a beautiful day here yesterday. Sunny, not too warm, and nothing broke. I’m delighted to report that my internet is still up and running with no issues. Knock on wood, I think we’ve got it beat. Yesterday morning I went outside early to do the yard work before it got too hot. Between the morning chill and the soft maple’s leaves starting to turn red, you can feel fall in the air. And that suits me perfectly well. I hate hot weather.

After a rest, I fixed pancakes for lunch and they were delicious.

The new show I tried was a reality tv thing about fixing up and trading cars on Netflix. I can’t remember the name, but I enjoyed it. They had the usual mix of guys with wild hair, big personalities, and lots of tattoos. They also have a model working as their engine specialist. I don’t mean just an especially attractive woman, she’s an actual model with over 700,000 Instagram followers. I only watched the first episode but I plan to watch some more today. I’ll be sure to note the name so I can let you know tomorrow.

After the show, I made it to my writing desk about 1:30 and managed another 6 pages.
