The Day – 11-7-20

Yesterday was another beautiful day weather wise. We’re dead in the middle of a run of Indian Summer and I plan to enjoy every second of it. Goodness knows we’ll have enough cold and unpleasantness this winter.

The morning was pretty quiet and after lunch I watched the new Tremors movie on Netflix. You can find the review below.

I made it to my writing desk around 2:00 and managed a solid 5 pages. I also took a break around 3:30 and went outside to do some end of the season weed whacking. In the process I found a bunch more than needs doing which I’ll see to over the next couple days.

No updates to offer. I guess I’m the only one that works everyday. But that’s okay. I love writing and don’t really consider it work.

Tremors Shrieker Island Review

I’m not going lie, I love this franchise. Granted it’s gotten stupider and more ridiculous as it went along and we’re now on the seventh installment. Michael Gross is the only star remaining from the original movie, once again reprising his role as Burt Gummer.

The movie finds genetically modified Grabboids on a tropical island that’s been turned into a hunting preserve by some rich idiot. Naturally everything goes sideways and people start getting eaten.

Burt is summoned from retirement to hunt them down. He’s reluctant but eventually accepts the job since there are innocent people in danger. The hunters, naturally, think they have everything under control. They learn the error of their ways in bloody fashion.

I don’t want to spoil it too much, so I won’t giveaway too many details. But if you like goofy action horror movies, this is a good one. I give it a recommend.
