The Day – 11-6-20

So yesterday kind of sucked. The weather was beautiful, we actually hit 70. I spent the morning working on my week in review video and that went okay. But it was all a trap designed to lull me into a false sense of security.

Part one was sprung when I went to get the mail. There was a letter waiting from the IRS. And you never get anything good from them. Turns out an issue from two years ago I thought I had sorted out isn’t as sorted as I thought. Happily this is something my accountant can deal with. I hope.

Next while I was fixing lunch I heard this horrible noise. After looking all over the house and finding nothing I shrugged it off, assuming something happened at one of the neighbors’ houses. A few hours later when I wanted to run a quick errand, I discovered it wasn’t at the neighbors’. The spring on my garage door snapped in half. Now I can’t get the car out of the garage. Even worse, the repairman can’t come until Tuesday. Lucky for me, my truck is outside under the carport, so I can use that in the mean time.

Still, what a day.

I did get some writing done. Only 3 pages, but given everything that happened, I’ll take it.

As for the manga project, updates won’t be coming quite as regularly since she now has to do some work for me to review. But don’t worry. As soon as I have something to share, I’ll post it here.
