The Green Lantern Corp. Vol 1 review - James E. Wisher

The Green Lantern Corp. Vol 1 review

The Day – 8-2-20

So yesterday was another errand day. Lots of running around. Starting with the Post Office where I mailed out my copyright copies for registration. So that takes care of The Hidden Tower. The Great Northern War will probably go out in a couple weeks.

Next I drove to the bank, made my deposits, and moved on to lunch at 5 Guys. If their hamburgers aren’t the best in the area, they’re certainly close and the fries are right there with them. The only down side is, they’re so good I sometimes eat too much. I restrained myself yesterday and felt better for it.

Finally it was groceries where the store still has random things out of stock. It’s much better than earlier in the pandemic, so I’m not going to complain.

After the drive home and putting everything away I was beat. I made it to my writing desk around 3:00 and somehow scratched out a single page. Pathetic, but better than nothing.

The Green Lantern Corp. Vol. 1 Review

Where I am now, there are four books following the various lanterns. This one comes first on the reading order list, so I’m going with it. This volume follows Guy Gardner and John Stewart. For those of you that, like me, are fans of the Justice League cartoon series, you’ll know the name John Stewart. He was the Green Lantern they used for that series. Anyway, volume one finds our heroes fighting an enemy that is nearly immune to their rings. There’s lots of action and the art is amazing. If you’re into Green Lantern stories, this one is a definite recommend.

Finally a preorder update. We’re up to 1,050 on The Great Northern War with ten days to go until release. Thanks everyone for your support.

Talk to you tomorrow.
