The Day – 8-13-20

Yesterday was not a great day. Two doctor’s appointments and four hours of waiting for not much news sucks. That said, there’s nothing more important to me than helping my family member get better. So if I have to drive to appointments and sit around sucking air through a mask, that’s just what I’m going to do.

I don’t know what it is about waiting, but I find it more exhausting than working. Probably the anxiety. Anyway, at least I had a nice lunch between appointments.

With that huge bite taken out of the middle of the day, I didn’t get much writing done. I made it to my writing desk around 3:00 and only managed 2 pages. Frankly, as tired as I felt, getting even two pages felt like a victory. Hopefully I can get back on track tomorrow.

Now that book 2 is live, let’s move on to tracking preorders for book three, The Portal Thieves. We’re starting at 174. For the record, book two ended at just over 1,300, so not bad at all.

I don’t have much else to tell you all today so I’m going to call this good.
