Well, I had another quiet day yesterday. The soul item of interesting being a roaring return of the Japanese Beetles. I don’t know if the morning rain perked them up or what, but they were thick on the little evergreen they like so well. I must have scraped twenty of them off and dumped them in the trap.

On a completely unrelated note, Japanese Beetles would be a cool name for a band.

I had a pretty good writing day, getting to my desk at 1:30 and managing 5 pages.

I mentioned yesterday that I was reading the New 52 comic books in chronological order, but I forgot to tell you which book I was on now. If anyone wants to follow along, I’m reading Batwing Vol. 1 which is the first seven issues of the series. So far it’s pretty good. It’s set in Africa and features a former child soldier given tech by Batman to fight warlords and other evildoers. I won’t give away too much, but his first villain is a pretty gruesome serial killer that’s hunting down former African super heroes. If any of you have the DC app and want to read along, let me know in the comments. I can post more details and let you know exactly where I am.
