So yesterday was a return to my usual calm, boring days. I had no where to go and only my usual work to do. Frankly, these are my favorite sorts of days. I made it to my writing desk at 1:30 and managed 6 pages. Getting back on track felt good plus I also have a strong feeling for the rest of part 1 of the new novel.
Since I don’t have much in the way of news, I thought I’d tell you about a, I don’t know if challenge is the right word, but I can’t think of a better one. Anyway, what I’m doing is reading the entire DC run of the New 52 in chronological order. Or close to it anyway. Now ordinarily this would be horrendously expensive, but since I have the DC app, I can read all the comics I want of one price. I highly recommend it if you’re into DC comics.
So far I’ve read some really good stuff and a few stinkers. Given how much crap I’ve heard people talking about this era of DC, I had low expectations. Frankly, unless things turn south later on, I’ve been pretty happy. One book that really surprised me was about the Penguin. It was sort of a miniseries that looks forward and back, detailing how he became what he is now. The art style was great and the story interesting. If you haven’t read it, I highly recommend you do.
Now for a preorder update. We reached 776 on The Great Northern War. Thanks very much everyone for your support.
Talk to you tomorrow.
