The Day - 6-9-20 - James E. Wisher

The Day – 6-9-20

Pretty busy day yesterday. It was errand day which meant lots of running around. I started at Sams’ Club with was busy enough but not as bad as last time. Now that the summer season has started, I expect it won’t get quiet until September at the earliest. The grocery store wasn’t bad either. They must have gotten their paper products sorted out because the shelves were packed and they’d lifted the limit on toilet paper purchases. I take that as a good sign even if they were still out of hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes.

After shopping it was off to one of my favorite diners for lunch. At least that was the plan. When I arrived they were closed so I he’d to go to my second choice with was okay but not great.

The trip home was an obstacle course of road work no matter which way I went. Still, I made it home in one piece, got unloaded, and had a rest before moving to my office.

Since I got the final version of The Hidden Tower, I decided to spend the afternoon uploading to all the stores as well as getting it up on my Payhip Store. I also started the paperback version and the audio version. More updates on those as they advance. Unfortunately, all that meant no pages for the day. : (

So yesterday I mentioned Elmer Fudd losing his rifle in the new Loony Toons cartoons on HBO Max. Well, yet another reason to avoid the service came to my attention this morning when I read the news. It seems they’ve taken down Gone with the Wind. They say they’ll put it back up later with a warning about the content. Is there anyone at this point that doesn’t know what the content of Gone with The Wind is? I guess if they have to put a little warning box at the start, fine, but I really hope they don’t feel the need to edit the original like Disney did with Splash on Disney+. And for the love of all that’s good in the universe, please don’t mess with with Casablanca. I love that movie.

Anyway, here’s the preorder numbers for The Hidden Tower, 488. I think we’ve got a real shot at 500 before launch day thanks to all of your support. Thanks very much.

Talk to you tomorrow.
