Another day without major errands or problems, thank goodness. I had enough running last week to last me a while. I got the finished manuscript from my typo hunter and I hope to make the last changes upload the final version to all sites by the end of the day Tuesday. Once that’s done, I’ll start working on the paperback version and looking for a narrator for the audio. It’s a lot of work, but putting the final touches on the manuscript before the book goes live is very satisfying.
After lunch and an episode of MI-5 I made it to my writing desk and wrote a solid 6 pages. Three productive days in a row feels good.
I wanted to take a moment to talk about something that caught my eye yesterday. It seems, in the new version of Loony Toons coming out on HBO Max this year, they decided to take away Elmer Fudd’s rifle and give him a scythe. Because that’s what hunters use with they go after rabbits, right? I mean, I know it’s a cartoon, but Jesus, come on. I’ve been a fan of these cartoon since I was little. A hate seeing them getting butchered. Mel Blank is probably spinning in his grave right now. Fun, it seems is now against the rules for a lot of people.
I ask anyone reading this, why? Why do people feel the need to screw up all the things I loved as a child? It’s the stupidest thing to me. But, whatever, I guess. I’m not planning to get HBO Max and this certainly isn’t going to encourage me. I’ve got enough streaming services as it is.
Anyway, let’s end as we always do, with a preorder update. We reached 475 yesterday. Thanks everyone for your support.
Talk you to tomorrow.
