The Day – 6-22-20

The heatwave continued yesterday, but at least we got a little rain in the afternoon which should help the crunchy grass. My Mom had a craving for McDonald’s fries so I took her out to lunch and it was sadly one of the better meals I’ve had out this month. How depressing is it when a $6.00 meal at McDonalds is the second best meal you’ve had out in a month? As long as we were out, we hit the grocery store before coming home. Road work this trip was far better than last week. Everything we ran into was off to the side of road so we didn’t have to stop.

Once we got home and I had a rest, I went to my writing desk and managed 6 more pages.

I can’t remember if I mentioned this, but yesterday was my Bookbub. And man did it hit. I’m still waiting on some of the numbers, but I’ve already sold more than 2,000 copies of the omnibus edition I advertised. That’s probably my best result ever with them. I just wish it wasn’t so hard to book one.

I’m still waiting on replies about the paperback and audio versions of The Hidden Tower. As soon as I hear something I’ll let you know.

Finally, we’re up to 172 preorders for The Great Northern War. Thanks everyone.

Talk to you tomorrow.
