The Day - 6-11-20 - James E. Wisher

The Day – 6-11-20

So yesterday was kind of a weird day. I had an errand in the afternoon, which almost never happens. It took about three hours which burned up my usual writing time. Since I had nothing scheduled for the morning, I put in a couple hours to keep my word count up. It felt odd, but I still managed 4 pages, so I guess I can’t complain.

The weather was nice at least for the drive and I saw a deer on the side of the road eating brush. She looked nice and healthy with a slick, reddish coat. She should have a fawn around somewhere this time of year but I didn’t see the little one. The main thing is she didn’t try and dart across the road in front of me. I’ve had that happen twice already this year and it scared the shit out of me both times. Another odd thing, in the direction I went, there wasn’t a single delay from road construction. The other way seemed like construction every five miles.

One thing I’m really excited about is that a week from today, The Hidden Tower goes live. The manuscripts have all been updated, the paperback’s in the works, and I’m waiting on voice samples for the audiobook.

Speaking of the new book, we’re up to 526 preorders. Thanks very much.

I think I’ll keep this one short today. Talk to you tomorrow.
