Well, our dry spell in over. Yesterday afternoon three lines of thunderstorms rolled through the area. I love thunderstorms, but man did we ever get drenched, I’m talking a wall of water for about ten minutes, then sun. Repeat two hours later then three hours after that. At least the power didn’t go out.

On the north side of my property there’s a field with a culvert that runs under the road from a ditch on my neighbor’s side and every time we get a heavy down pour, all the leaves and associated crap that’s built up come rushing out into my field. It’s a sloppy, soggy mess that now needs to get raked up, once it dries out of course. Picking up soggy leaves is the definition of not fun.

But at least the grass doesn’t crunch anymore so that’s good. The worst of the heat has also broken which is even better.

After two days of running, I had no errands yesterday, which suited me quite well. I had roast turkey for lunch and watched an episode of MI5. After that it was off to my writing desk where I managed an excellent 6 pages.

I finished the 7th book in the Vampire Hunter D series last night. It’s a two parter and I’m a chapter into book 8. If you haven’t read any of these books, I highly recommend them. They’re less horror and more action which I like. There are 29 books in the series so you won’t run out anytime soon.

Finally we got a nice bump of preorders yesterday up to 335. Thanks everyone for your support.
