The Day – 9-8-20

Had a pretty quiet day yesterday. Spent the morning puttering around outside at the rental, trimming, pulling weeds, and generally trying to improve the curb appeal. There are still a few things that need to be done, but I’m generally pretty happy with how it looks. I put a few things away at my house as well. We’ve still got time before winter, but not that much. I saw, was it Colorado, that they had a snow storm already. They can keep it. I hate hot weather, but I’m in no hurry for snow.

On a positive note, our local nursing home seems to have its Covid outbreak under control finally. Just a shame eight people had to die first.

Anyway, that’s depressing.

After lunch I made it to my writing computer around 1:00 and managed 6 pages. My current novel is creeping right up on being done. Another week or so I’d say.

Updates

Okay, some news on book 5 of the Portal War’s series. The manuscript is going through a final typo check. My cover designer is almost finished as well. I’m going to say another ten days on that and it should be up on Payhip for early purchase. At least I hope so. Heaven only knows what might happen between now and then. It is still 2020 after all.
