The Day – 10-6-20

Yesterday was another crazy busy day. First I had to go to the eye doctor which ate up most of two hours. After the debacle that was lunch the day before, I made peanut butter crackers and ate in the car yesterday. It was actually more pleasant than some of the restaurants I’ve visited.

After lunch I headed to Sam’s Club for supplies. It wasn’t too busy thank goodness.

I finally made it home and got unloaded by 2:00. I was beat at that point and no writing got done. Instead I focused on proofing the audiobook of The Great Northern War. I’m about halfway through now. I should have it done by the end of the week, fingers crossed.

The Sad News

I know we’ve been focusing on vampires and monsters stuff in October, but I saw yesterday that Eddie Van Halen died. Somehow it seemed like I should acknowledge it. Growing up I was big fan, David Lee Roth era more than Sammy. Eddie had to be a top five all time great guitar player. Not to mention being pretty damn good on the keyboard.

It seems like all my favorite bands are getting old. But then again so am I.

Anyway, I just wanted make a note of his passing and offer my condolences to his family, not that I imagine they read this blog.

We’ll wrap up as usual with a preorder update. The Portal Thieves is up to 1,416 with 2 days left. Thanks everyone for your support.
