The Day – 10-5-20
Yesterday was crazy busy. A morning doctors appointment got things started. After that it was lunch. Unfortunately, my first choice of diners was closed for the season and the second was closed for the day due to paving. I ended up at my third choice. Whoever did the cooking didn’t know how to fix fresh cut french fries. I ended up with fry shaped, slightly soft potatoes. The hamburger tasted good anyway.
After lunch I headed to the grocery store for supplies. This might be the first time I’ve gone in six months and found everything on my list.
Lastly I stopped at the bank. They had a long line at the drive-thru window. I had to go inside where yet another line waited. They even had a guy directing traffic so we didn’t get too close. Wonder how much they were paying him to stand there and tell people where to wait.
I made it home around 2:30 and after a rest went to my writing desk. Somehow I managed two pages on the new novel.
On the plus side, I got the final files for The Great Northern War Audiobook. I’ll be reviewing them over the next few days.
Hellsing
So I remember watching this years ago and loving it. Basically it follows the members of the Hellsing organization in their fight against the undead. The main weapon they use in that fight is the vampire Alucard. Not the same Alucard as in Castlevania. This is Dracula only with his name spelled backwards. He agreed to join the organization after the original Van Hellsing defeated him.
The coolest part of this anime is Alucard’s abilities. Some of the things he can conjure are insane as are the many fight scenes.
If you’re into action packed anime with a horror tinge, you should definitely check this one out. It gets a recommend from me.
We’ll end with a preorder update. The Portal Thieves is up to 1,388 with 3 days to go. Thanks everyone for your support.
Talk to you tomorrow.
