The Day – 11-22-20

I had a nice, quiet Sunday. After a show I made it to my writing desk around 1:00 and managed 7 pages. That pretty much finished off the rough draft for The Sanguine Scroll. I need to go back and add a couple scenes and do the final read through, but the story itself is complete. That also means the Portal Wars Saga is complete. Though I do have plans to revisit the world with other characters.

Manga Update

I got the storyboard for the first 8 pages from the artist this morning. It looks pretty good even though the art is obviously very crude at this point. I like the general flow of the layout and the way she did the captions and dialogue. It’s hard to describe how exciting it is to see something you’ve imagined for years coming to life. These first pages are really just a test to see how the artist and I work together as well as how I feel her art will serve the story.

The really exciting part will come when she shows me some finished pages. I’m super excited for that.
