The Day – 11-21-20

Another quiet day allowed me to get to my writing desk around 1:00 where I managed 6 pages on the new novel. I think the rough draft should be finished today, then I’ll have to go back through and work on edits. I think this one will need a few more than most. I’m pretty sure I need to add at least two more scenes. But the important thing is, the bones of the story are written. A few tweaks shouldn’t be a huge job.

Overlord Lite Novels

So I’m about halfway done with the ninth book of the series. Once that’s done, I’ll be all caught up with the anime. I have to say, I’ve been really enjoying this series. It’s funny watching the soul of a Japanese salary man try and figure out how to act like an undead ruler out to conquer the world. Basically he’s trying to structure his evil organization like a corporation with himself as CEO. It actually works pretty well.

I’m most curious going forward whether or if they’ll include some other players from his world. So far, there’s hasn’t been much in the way of challenges beyond running the organization.

I’m sad to see that there are only three published book left in the series. Hopefully more will be forthcoming.
