The Day – 11-10-20

Yesterday was kind of an all over the place day. On the one hand, the weather was perfect and the morning quiet. It was wonderful. And then my accountant called back. It seems she couldn’t find the email I sent and needed me to send it again. I’m pretty sure it ended up in her junk folder which is annoying since you’d think she might have whitelisted a client. But, whatever. Hopefully they figure it out today and I can forget about the matter for a month or two before the next IRS letter shows up.

Much as I hate it, I also have to look into new health insurance this month. One of the many joys of being self-employed.

After lunch and an episode of The Repair Shop, I made it to my writing desk around 1:30 and managed a solid 4 pages.

The Manga Adventure has Begun.

So my artist got back to me this morning and she’d beginning work on the character designs. I’m super excited to see how they turn out. I’ve always had this image of my characters in my head and to see them imagined by someone else, even going on my descriptions, is both exciting and nerve wracking. I’m trying to stay relaxed. After all, if I don’t like them, I can always request changes.

When the book is done, something that won’t happen for some time, I’m hoping to do a crowdfunding campaign. Since I’ve never done one, that should be an adventure in its own right.

Not a lot else to share. My waiting list is shorter by one item so that’s something.
