The Day – 11-10-20
This is a bit of a theme in my life, but I spent much of yesterday waiting. The repair man for the garage door was supposed to come yesterday afternoon and he did. Pretty early actually, around 1:30. That’s the good news. The bad news is, he could only patch the spring.
To my surprise, there isn’t just one or two sizes of spring for a garage door. They have to measure and order the correct one for your door. Which takes about two weeks. During the lockdown peak, he said they needed a month to get a new spring, so there’s that in my favor. Anyway, he left with the warning not to use the door anymore than necessary as it could break again at anytime. Very reassuring, that.
After he left I got to work on the new novel and managed 5 more pages. Not too shabby given the distractions.
As far as updates go, I have none to share. A number of projects are underway, but none of them save the new cover are close to completion. So I’m going to keep this post short.
I’ll end with a preorder update. The Master of Magic is up to 1213. Thanks everyone.
Talk to you tomorrow.
