The Day – 10-27-20
Yesterday was errand day. I got off to a pretty early start and made it to Sam’s around 10:30. They weren’t busy and got in and out pretty quick. After filling up the car with gas it was over to 5 Guys for lunch. They are one of the most consistent restaurants I go to and once again the food was excellent.
I swear, out of all the places I eat, they’re the only ones that know how to properly cook fresh cut fries. One place I went the other day gave me limp, pale fries that looked like the fingers of a drowned man recently fished out of the river. Not exactly appetizing. Another place, Heaven knows how they did it, served fires that were burnt on the outside and still hard on the inside. This isn’t rocket surgery or brain science.
Sorry, french fry rant over.
After lunch it was groceries then home. I was pretty beat after unloading and putting everything away. After a rest, I made it to my writing desk around 3:00 and managed 2 pages.
This has been the worst writing month of the year for me. At the rate I’m going, I’ll be lucky to hit 30,000 words.
But to be fair, I have accomplished a number of other things, so I won’t complain too much.
More Readers for The Blog
I wanted to take a minute and say how gratifying it’s been to see this blog starting to get a little traction. Not a ton mind you, but we’re now up to double digits reading it regularly.
My goal has always been to turn my website into the hub of my business. A place where we can interact and I can share regular updates, talk about the news, and generally hangout with your guys daily.
Some people will say I should do that on social media and I do to a certain extent. But I don’t have the same control on social media as I do here. I could be booted or blocked or whatever else the powers that be decide. Here, I decide what I put up and no one else.
So I hope everyone that’s been visiting will keep doing so and that over time more of my readers will join the community we’re building. I’ll so my part by posting hopefully interesting content and replying to comments as soon as I see them.
