Escape From LA Review - James E. Wisher

Escape From LA Review

The Day – 8-8-20

Yesterday was yard work day. I’d been putting it for far too long and we finally had a nice, cool morning. So out I went for an hour of mowing and weed whacking. By the time I finished, I was so tired I didn’t even bother with the post office. Instead I rested, fixed lunch, and watched a movie. More on that below.

Rested and recovered, I made it to my writing desk around 2:00 and managed a decent 5 pages. Most importantly, no surprise trips to the doctor’s, which is awesome.

Escape From L. A. Review

I did a review a couple weeks ago for Escape from NY, so I figured why not do one for the sequel. This one once again stared Kurt Russell as Snake. The movie is set I think ten years after the original. An earthquake has broken Los Angeles off from the main land and it’s been turned into basically a prison for undesirables. This time the president’s daughter has stolen a powerful weapon and given it to the biggest gang leader in the city. Snake has to go in and get it.

There are a lot of stars, including Bruce Campbell as a deranged plastic surgeon and Peter Fonda as a surfer dude that helps Snake.

Over all it was a fun movie. If you liked the first one you’ll enjoy the second. It’s a recommend from me.

Finally we end with a preorder update. The Great Northern War is up to 1,188 with 5 days to go. Thanks for all your support.

Talk to you tomorrow.
