The Day – 10-24-20

Yesterday was a quiet but productive day. As the headline says, I finished the proofing on The Portal Thieves audio book. Everything sounded great. I think you guys will really enjoy it.

I also finished some yard work. Actually what I did was clean the debris out of the back of my truck. I’d been putting that off for a couple days due to rain, but it’s done now.

More good news, I’ve got some people coming next week for a second showing for the house I’m trying to sell. Fingers crossed that they make an offer. I’d love to sell it before winter. Although it was only about 30 this morning so winter isn’t far off.

After lunch I watched another episode of The Repair Shop. They had three really cool item on this time. First was a clock from the1800s that had fallen and got broke pretty bad.

The second item was a little hand mirror that had a painting of a noblewoman from the 1700s on the back.

And finally a painting of the Themes called a pea soup painting. I’d never heard of them, but it look really foggy and creepy. I liked it, especially after the restorer got done.

I made it to my writing desk about 1:00 and managed 5 more pages on the new novel. So not bad.

I’m just about done with the first book of The Saga of Tanya the Evil. I know I said earlier that I wasn’t that crazy about it, but it’s improved a lot as it went along and I ordered the rest of the series. I’ll do a proper review once I actually finish it. Maybe I’ll make a video.
