The Day – 7-28-20
As I’m sure you guessed from the post name, yesterday was errand day. I needed a ton of stuff, especially from Sam’s Club. To add to my irritation, some idiot decided to rearrange most of the store. Not all of it, just the stuff I buy every month. At least that’s what it felt like. But at least they had most of the stuff I needed. There are still occasional out of stock items and I swear it’s just random what will be out. Yesterday is was Swiffer Dusters.
After Sam’s it was fill up the tank with gas and lunch at Five Guys. The food was delicious.
My last stop was the grocery store. I love this time of year because they have vegetables from the local farms and they’re so much fresher and tastier. They also had, brace yourselves, disinfecting wipes. This is the first time I’ve seen them in the wild since March. I felt like one of those early explorers hacking my way through the jungle only to come into a clearing where the lost temple gleamed in the sunlight. I almost expected angels to sing.
That’s a complete exaggeration of course, but I was glad to get some wipes. My supply had dwindled badly.
After I got home, unloaded the car, put the groceries away, and rested a spell, it was 3:00 and I headed for my writing desk. Only managed 2 pages, but considering how tired I felt, I’m calling that a win.
Finally a preorder update. We’re up to 913 on The Great Northern War. Thanks everyone.
Talk to you tomorrow.
