Well yesterday was a much better day health wise. Whatever my problem, I’ve mostly beaten now, he says with fingers crossed. Another nice, quiet day, allowed me to write 7 pages. A little above average actually.
Two quick updates. The paperback version of The Hidden Tower is now live on Amazon. That’s the good news. The bad news is, the ebook and print versions aren’t connected yet so they have separate pages. With any luck that will sort itself out in a few days. Otherwise I’ll have to contact customer support. I know some people like to bitch about Amazon, but I’ve contacted their support many times and never had an issue. They’re quick, polite, and professional. The second thing is, I don’t like either of the narrators who offered sample readings. I’m going to have to ask for new choices, and that will slow the process down. Still, I’ve got to do it. The wrong narrator would be a disaster.
So last night I watched The Ninth Gate, a supernatural thriller staring Jonny Depp. He plays a rare book dealer who gets mixed up with the wrong people. Mayhem ensues as he tries to track down two copies a supposedly magical book. The movie was put out in 1999. I remember when I first watched it. I was in college at the time and thought that searching out rare books would be my dream job. Minus the devil worshipers of course. This was before I realized writing them was more fun. Watching it again was fun and I think it held up well over time. If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend checking it out.
I’ll end as always with a preorder update. We’re up to 229 on The Great Northern War. Thanks everyone for your support.
Talk to you tomorrow.
