The Day – 6-16-20

Of my goodness what a day I had yesterday. It was grocery day again and I swear every road I went on had road work, or worse. The first worst was only five miles from my house. A house caught on fire and the fire department had the road totally blocked off forcing me to detour miles out of the way. The detour went along winding back roads with little to no shoulder. A bit further on I had to avoid half a dozen phone company trucks working on the lines. After that is was these little orange cones covering freshly painted lines. The street looked like a slalom course.

I finally made it after an hour of tense driving. The store itself was pretty busy, but I got most of the stuff on my list.

Lunch went no more smoothly than than the trip down. My favorite restaurant is still closed. Choice number two, a little drive in car hop place, was jammed. I bet they had twenty cars there while I was eating. The hamburger was awesome and the fries limp.

The trip home didn’t hit quite as many obstacles and only took forty-five minutes. I doubt I’ve been so happy to get off the road.

After a nice rest I made it to my writing desk around three and managed 3 pages. Considering how tired I felt, I’ll take it.

I started the first Darth Bane book last night and was happy to find it just as good as I remembered.

Finally a preorder report. We reached 591 with only today and tomorrow to go. I think we’ll make 600. Fingers crossed.

Thanks everyone and I’ll talk to you tomorrow.
