I had a nice, quiet Sunday. Took my truck out for a drive to charge the battery. And it was a good thing I did. She had just enough juice to turn over. Today I might have to spray the pollen off of it. The poor thing looks more green than brown. On my tour of the back roads I saw one deer browsing on the bank. She ran across the road directly behind me. I actually caught a glimpse of her peeking over the guard rail like she was checking the traffic. If more deer did that, fewer of them would get hit.
It’s also turtle migration season. I didn’t see any on this trip, but I have seen them here and there. You need to keep an eye out for them as they’re very slow crossing the road. A lot of them get hit this time of year. They won’t damage your car the way a deer will, but still, no reason to run them over of your can help it.
After a nice lunch and an episode of Shetland, I made it to my writing desk and managed 5 pages. All the scenes I wanted to add are done so I can plow ahead.
Speaking of books, the second novel in the Portal Wars Saga is quickly finishing the editing process. Book three will hopefully go into the final stage next week. Book four is still at the proofreader’s. I should have that one back in a few days.
Finally, preorders are up to 559 with four days to go. Thanks everyone for your support.
Talk to you tomorrow.
