Yesterday was an interesting day. I finished the first round of editing on the fourth book of the Portal Wars Saga. That will go off to the proofreader in a few weeks. My cover designer is working on that book as well and the illustration is really looking cool.

After some odd yard work that needed doing: I put out the bird house, removed the old battery from my lawn mower so I can get a new one, and I cleaned the bird shit off the sliding glass door, I decided to try something different. I’m writing a comic book script based on one of my short stories. I have no idea if it will ever get made, but a different kind of writing makes a nice change of pace before I dive into the next novel. The story is about 8,000 words so I’m interested to see how many comic pages that ends up being. Having one of my stories made into a comic has always been a bucket list item for me and right now, indie comics are very popular. So maybe now’s the time. We’ll see.
