Well, the trend of waking up to near freezing temperatures continued yesterday. I’m starting to think I’ll never get to stop using the wood stove in the living room. Had a fairly quiet morning, but the afternoon was another matter. The shop where I get my yard equipment called so I had to get the snow blower ready for pick up and make a space for the push mower they were bring back. Combined with some other business things, distractions kept me from focusing on the writing and I only managed 2 pages.
A sad output for sure, but hardly unusual. I get four or five days a month like that. All you can do is shrug and try to do better the next day. When I first started writing I would beat myself up for crappy days, but I’ve come to understand that writing is a marathon not a sprint. I budgeted two months for this book, so a bad day here or there isn’t a huge deal.
Preorders on The Hidden Tower are up to 166. Thanks everyone for your support.
Talk to you tomorrow.
