Overlord Vol 2 Review - James E. Wisher

Overlord Vol 2 Review

The Day – 11-16-20

Yesterday was errand day and man was it busy. Everywhere you looked at the grocery store there were people buying big turkeys. I know it’s that time of the year, but I thought big gatherings were out this year. Either a lot of people are planning to ignore that advice, or they’re really hungry. Twenty plus pounds of turkey is a lot of meat. But that’s none of my business.

Personally, I hope everyone that wants to get together and see their family is careful and has a great time. Some of my relatives wanted to come for a visit, but they’re from out of state and would have had to quarantine for two weeks so they decided to wait for a calmer time. It sucks, but what can you do?

After a nice lunch at one of my favorite diners, I made it home around 1:00. With unpacking then a short rest, I reached my writing desk about 2:00 and managed a solid 4 pages.

I have a couple updates for you.

First, The Heart of Alchemy is now up for preorder on Apple Books. I’ve updated the book page with the link.

Second, I got the first character sketches from the artist I hired to work on the Soul Force Saga Comic. They look really good. I’m super excited to see how this turns out. I hope you guys are too.

Overlord Vol. 2 Review

This is going to be a short review simply because I enjoyed the book so much. It follows our hero as he heads out to explore the world disguised as a warrior. It pretty much follows the anime up through the battle in the graveyard.

The writing is smooth and well done. The translation on these books is also really well done. I’ve read some stories online that were a little dodgy, but Yen Press never fails to put out a quality product.

I highly recommend this series if you’re at all interested in Fantasy or Isakai stories.

Finally a preorder update. The Master of Magic is up to 1288 with 18 days to go. Thanks everyone.

Talk to you tomorrow.
