The Day – 11-24-20

Yesterday was a shopping day and everywhere I went was busy. First up was Sam’s Club. I goy lucky and found a good parking space, but inside they were all out of paper towels. It felt like the bad old days of last winter. Happily they had everything else I needed including a bunch of gift cards that put a big dent in Christmas shopping.

Next it was lunch at 5 Guys which was also quite busy.

And finally the grocery store, where they actually had everything I wanted. On the down side, the guy doing the bagging was a little less than gentle with my stuff. And it’s always the guys. Not to be sexist, but men seem really bad at being careful with groceries. At least with my groceries.

Anyway, by the time I got home, I was beat. I managed a meager 1 chapter edited. Pathetic, I know, but getting anything done yesterday was a miracle.

Updates

Okay, first up, the artist working on the manga project sent me the full body designs for five of the characters and they all looked great. One needed a couple little tweaks, but other than that, I think we’re good to go.

Second, I got the first fifteen minutes of The Master of Magic audiobook from the narrator. I’ll be listening to that later this morning, but I have high hopes that it will sound great.
