The Day – 9-3-20
I had a pretty quiet day yesterday which suited me fine. Other than a little unloading and putting away, the house selling business is pretty much complete until it actually sells. I’m hoping for a string of easy days so I can finish book 6 of The Portal Wars Saga. I’ve got about 15,000 words to go so ten more good days should see the rough draft finished. Then it’s just a matter of editing and getting a cover.
Now I want to share a quick word of warning. I tried a new kind of french fry for lunch yesterday. They were called crispy crinkles and they were gross. It was like someone stuffed mashed potatoes into a skin of some sort and called them fries. I’ve tried some nasty things over the years, but these were right up near the top. They were an insult to fries everywhere.
After lunch and an episode of Car Master, I made it to my writing desk about 2:00 and managed a solid 5 pages.
Justice League War Review
Since I’m currently reading the New 52 era comics, I thought it would be fun to do reviews of the DC Animated Universe movies. They’re based on the New 52 comics after all, so it makes sense. To me anyway.
Justice League War covers the formation of the league to fight Darkseid when he invades earth for the first time. All the major characters are introduced so we get to know them at least a little before the fights start. And man are the fights entertaining. If you haven’t seen it, I won’t give away too much, but this was easily one of my favorite movies in the series. It gets a strong recommend from me.
Finally a preorder update. The Portal Thieves is up to 796. Thanks everyone for your support.
Talk to you tomorrow.
