Frankenstein Agent of SHADE review

The Day – 9-1-20

Yesterday was another hectic, distraction filled day. I spent the morning at the rental house getting it ready to list for sale. Found another problem that needs to be fixed. No surprise there, just a bit of disappointment. After lunch and another episode of Car Master, I made it to my writing desk about 1:30. I didn’t even get the word processor fired up before the broker called to come take a look at the house.

After that interlude I made it back to my writing desk about 2:30 and managed a decent 4 pages. Given everything going on lately, I’ll take it.

One quick update. Tantor decide they were interested in the audio rights for Escape from the Dragon Czar. Hopefully that will go into production soon.

Frankenstein: Agent of SHADE review

In my continuing quest to read the complete New 52 run of comics, I finished Frankenstein. It must not have been a big seller as they canceled the run after only 14 issues. I’m kind of surprised since I quite enjoyed the story. Basically it casts Frankenstein’s Monster as a wondering monster slayer working for a secretive agency called SHADE. The plot lines were fun in a ridiculous, over the top sci-fi way. The art was mid-tier, not fantastic but solid enough that it didn’t distract from the story.

Anyway, if you’re into monsters hunting other monsters, this is a book for you. I give it a solid recommend.

Finally a preorder update. The Portal Thieves is up to 753. Thanks everyone for your support.

Talk to you tomorrow.
