The Day – 11-13-20
Yesterday was a little bit hectic. I spent the morning writing my new week in review video. That actually turned out pretty good. At least I thought it did.
After lunch and an episode of The Repair Shop, I recorded the video and posted it. Then it was off to write my weekly newsletter. In between those two projects I received the final book cover files for my new novel. This is where the rushing came in.
Since I was eager to share the new book with everyone, I uploaded everything to Payhip and included the link in my newsletter. What I forgot was to connect the new listing to BookFunnel. Without that, the automatic email with their files didn’t go out. Fortunately, the files are also hosted directly at Payhip, so they were still available that way. On the sort of plus side, I only got three orders overnight so that wasn’t too many people not getting the email.
Anyway, I fixed it first thing this morning and we’re good to go. But the lesson is don’t be in too much of a rush or mistakes happen. Lucky for me this was a relatively minor one.
I finally got to actual writing around 3:00 and managed 4 pages. All things considered, that was really good.
I’ll end as always with a preorder update. The Master of Magic is up to 1248 with 20 days to go.
Talk to you tomorrow.
