The Day – 10-13-20
Had a really busy day yesterday. I took my mom to the hair salon to get her hair cut for the first time since the craziness started. They had a couple other customers but seemed happy for another one. Mom was certainly happy, so that was good.
After the hair cut we had a nice lunch, stopped at the bank, and picked up groceries.
Finally made it home around 2:00. I was beat, but managed a little over a page on the new novel. Not great but better than nothing.
Horrible People on the Internet
This next section isn’t in keeping with this month’s theme, but I couldn’t not comment on what I saw yesterday. I know acting like a jerk online has been a thing since the dawn of the internet. But yesterday I was watching a video talking about Gal Gadot’s new movie project, Cleopatra.
Personally I think she’d make a great Cleopatra, but it seems a rather vocal and ugly section of Twitter disagrees. Dozens of people said the nastiest, most vile things about her. I just don’t get it. It’s a movie for heaven’s sake.
No one really knows what the actual Cleopatra looked like, though I doubt she was as hot as Gal Gadot.
Anyway, I’m sure Ms. Gadot will never see my tiny little blog, but I’d like to offer a modest word of encouragement. Don’t let the jerks get you down. If this is the movie you want to make and you’re excited about it, then go for it. I think you’ll be great.
As for the haters, tell them all to take a flying leap. Good advise for anyone these days.
We’ll end with a preorder update. The Master of Magic is up to 710. Thanks everyone for your support.
Talk to you tomorrow.
