The Day – 8-19-20

Yesterday was not one of my better days. I woke up to find a flood in my laundry room. The washing machine drain hose had worked itself loose from the pipe that carries the water out and sprayed all over the floor. Many gallons of water inundated the room and drained into the basement.

After several hours sopping up water upstairs and mopping in the basement, I finally had most of the water cleaned up. Unfortunately, the flooring in the laundry room is ruined and will need to be replaced. I’m waiting on a quote, but I’m sure it will cost at least a thousand.

Despite the debacle that was my morning, I still made it to my writing desk around 2:00 and managed a solid 5 pages. Given everything that happened, I’ll take it.

Crocodile Dundee 2 Review

So I stumbled on this movie a couple days just flipping through the channels. I’d seen it years ago, but thought what the hell and watched it again. I’m happy to say it was just as good as I remembered. It’s a funny, silly action/comedy. It sees our hero, Mik Dundee fighting off cartel hitmen in New York City and the Australian Bush. There are plenty of funny moments and clever one liners. I won’t give too many details if you haven’t seen it yet. Both this one and the original get a recommend from me.
