Hello everyone,

I wanted to introduce you to one of the main characters from Shadow Magic. Robert is the guy on the right side of the cover.

Robert grew up traveling the world with his merchant father and learning to trade. Life was good until the old man decided to retire and buy a noble title.

Neither of them were ever accepted by the old guard nobles of the nation where they settled and when Robert’s father died not long after, Robert inherited a position and no friends.

Young, dumb, and eager to fit in, Robert got in with the wrong people and ended up being set up for the attempted assassination of the king.

He escaped just ahead of the executioner. Alone, penniless, and hungry for revenge, Robert fell in with a band of outlaws. One of whom was a beautiful swordswoman named Blade. (She’s the lady on the left side of the cover and we’ll get to know her better next week.)

He’s been with them for a few years when our story begins.
