Hello everyone,
It’s been an interesting week. Aside from an unpleasant trip to the dentist, things have been running along smoothly. Then today I read two articles that will effect my newsletter going forward.
First, this article about how gmail handles incoming e-mails. This one is important because of how many of you use gmail. According to my email service provider that’s like 90% of you.
It seems google just decides on their own how my newsletters are handled. Often it seems they just get dumped into the spam or promotions folders. I’ve certainly noticed my email provider telling me fewer of you opening all the time.
Whether it’s accurate or not I can’t tell.
That’s why I’m posting these newsletters on my blog. If for some reason you didn’t get a Friday newsletter and I haven’t mentioned something happening on my end, you can find it here,
In fact, I’d prefer if you read it here. If I can get everyone to come to the blog, I won’t have to worry about any of this new email stuff.
Updates
The third novel in the new trilogy is proceeding along nicely. I’m 17,000 words in and having a blast. This is going to be a fun series so I hope you guys enjoy it.
I heard from my cover artist for Rise of The Demon Lords. He’s supposed to start next week. I’m hoping to be able to get the Kickstarter up and going by the first week in July.
Also, I finished another episode of The Lightning. We’ve reached 13 episodes with one more to go. We also passed 80 subscribers. That’s really important given the way email seems to be going.
That’s all for now. Thanks very much for stopping by my blog. It’s great to have you here.
Talk to you next week.
James
I had no idea! I check all my folders but still, unless I say it’s spM, I’d rather they leave it alone.
I didn’t realize it either. Sometimes I think the big tech companies get carried away with themselves just because they can. It’s one of the reasons I like having a place like this where I’m at least mostly in control.
