The Great Reading Challenge Day 44 August 13 - James E. Wisher

The Great Reading Challenge Day 44 August 13

Morning everyone,

So you know how you make plans and have all your ducks in a row? Turns out I’m really bad at that. I had the rest of my publishing year all planned out and yesterday I basically blew it all up.

I was in the middle editing Children of Darkness in preparation for my narrator recording it this winter when I just got so bored I couldn’t look at it for another second. Even worse, I still have no real idea what the final book is going to cover. I mean, I know the basics of how the series will end, but that’s it. And the thought of figuring it out right now made my brain scream for mercy.

So I said the hell with it and started the epic fantasy series I’d had planned for next year. No idea how many books it will be, but I’ve been thinking about this one for over a year, so at least I have some ideas to get started.

And that was pretty much my day yesterday. Months of planning done in by boredom. Story of my writing life.

Update time.

Reading: Children of the Void –  42 pages and done.

Writing: Book 1 of the new fantasy series –  8 pages

Talk to you tomorrow,

James
