Morning everyone,
Well, despite a busy morning running errands, I managed to reach my word count goal at 1,668. I also got some good ideas that I’ll work into the story as I progress.
It’s strange, as I work on this challenge I find that I feel an odd sort of pressure as I go. I mean, writing like 1,700 words a day is something I do all the time. Yet the challenge part is in my head for sure. Fortunately, it hasn’t blocked me or anything. The words are still flowing like usual. If that changes, I may have to give up on challenges.
On a publishing note, my narrator is a week behind on the final book of the Divine Key Trilogy. Not a huge deal by any means.
Talk to you tomorrow,
James
I’m curious, do you outline your story for a challenge like this or are you just writing off the cuff?
I seldom do a formal outline. I’ve tried, but just can’t seem to follow one. Since this is the third book in the series, I do have a pretty good idea of the major plot points I need to hit, but other than that, I’m just writing into the dark.
